I have a moultrie 4.0 not the ir one and i love it! The trail pics on my page are from the camera. Batteries last forever! Its digital. I just buy two memory cards and swap em whenever i check the camera that way im in and out quick, less scent, less noise, more deer! And for $100 the price isn't too bad either.

Speaking of good trail cams, does anyone else have problems with cameras freezing? We -think- that's what's happening to ours..

Have not had that problem. What kind of cameras are you running?

Wildview, I think. Not very expensive at all. Within a year of purchase they stop triggering and we'll get pictures that're either all black, totally over-exposed or really weird colors.

I hate to say it but you get what you pay for. I had a Wildview Extreme II once and did not have that problem but they ate batteries like crazy. I would retire them and spend a little more for a better camera.

We run cameras by covert there small camo cameras that run on double A,s they take great pictures and great video i highly recommend them. You can get a two pack for four hundred dollars. They put our cuddybacks to shame and our moultries check them out.

Yeah, That's what I figured. Thing is, they're technically my dad's cameras....and he squeaks worse than the trees when it's cold out.... (Meaning he won't spend much on something..) I'll try to talk him into it this summer. I know we're missing some great pics

Tell him this, by the time he gets done spending money to replace his cheap camera ever 6 months to a year, had he spent a little more he would get several years out of his cameras and would save money due to not having to replace them. There are some good cameras out there that are resonable. Check out www.chasinggame.com for reviews on cameras. Best trail cam review site I have seen.
