About me...
My name is Darren Ekholm. I am thirty one years old. I am married and have one son. I am a Police Officer in Wisconsin. Hunting whitetails has been a passion of mine since I was a young boy. I started bow hunting in 2002 to spend more time in the woods hunting whitetails. Since 2002 I have taken several deer with the bow including three Pope & Young deer. My largest came in 2008 grossing over 150". Check out my page for more.

My name is Nick Lucente. I am 27 years old and live in Bay City, WI. I am a sales consultant at Anderson Ford in Baldwin, WI. This year will mark my 15th year in a treestand with a bow. I have taken many great deer but am still in search of the "one". Thats what keeps me going back year after year.

Travis Thought He saw it during the Muzzle loader season. He had a small window to shoot but wasnt sure of the shot. He also thought He saw it in his back yard sparing with a younger buck. the 9pt was bedded and sparing with a smaller buck. just seamed wierd. Not for sure either time but we would like to belive that he survived. Never heard of anyone finding him dead.

hey thanks guys ........ the vmore i watch the show the more i like the fact that it really is like me and the reat of us that go out to our stands to only hope to see something. unlike the other shows that know they will see something because its on a ranch !!!!!!!!!!

I do enjoy this. I think its awesome that you guys have a show filmed in the greatest hunting state in the U.S. lol. I really enjoy the show because its not like most hunting videos where their hunting at an outfiter and the viewers know that the hunter is gona end the show with a nice buck. You guys are the common joes that go out on just a little bit of land and do what you can with what you have.
That bruiser I have the trail cam pic of is from some private land that I got permission to Bowhunt on out in Burlington. There is another pic I have of a really nice one

My arm has 3 sections that are 12 1/2 " long.. I actually have 4 differend models of the Viper. I have the hinged model, That is the one Archers Choice people are using. The first section in that model hinges and is in 2 pieces, one has a bushing and the other has a pin. You hang the tree mount and then slide the hinge pin into the bushing. It works great and archers choice loves them. You cand see my arm in a demo video on my WON page I have a 3 min. clip on it.

You bet just seen the show forthe first time and felt like Iws sittin there myself around the camp fire.

Would love to know how if possible to put a team together, send video, etc. Myself and a lifetme friend just started videoing this year and love it. What a chance to capture hunts instead of spending them alone. Memories do last a lifetime this way

Can't wait to find out more

Team Anderson Ford Season End Update

Well it was a interesting bow season this year. There was a lot of firsts for Nick and I this year. Hanging camera stands, filming the hunts, hunting new properties, and trying to find subs when one of us was not able to hunt. I think we would both agree we experienced a great deal of frustration, stress, and satisfaction from the begining to the end of the 2009 WI Archery Season.

We had a rough start to say the least. We had high hopes of patterning a couple bucks in the first couple weeks of… Continue

Weather

Well the weather does not look to favorable this weekend. Looking like the highs are going to be in the 60's. Through this weekend I think mornings are going to be key due to the higher afternoon temps. Not sure what our plans are going to be this weekend. I have to work for the next four days and Nick works Sat. Sure would be nice if Nick could put some bone on the ground here in the next couple weeks. Our time is winding down to get this done. My wife has been on me about going to Northern MN… Continue

October update

Darren and I spent pretty much all day in stands on 10/19. Started in the morning on my new property outside of Elmwood and wrapped it up on a property in the Bay City area. We never saw a deer from the stand. Pretty disappointing. Both of us went into the day with high expectations. After the morning hunt in Elmwood, we decided to hang another set up on some CRP. While I was in the tree, Darren decided to take a little walk. He made it about 40 yards from me before he saw a shooter buck walking… Continue

09/12/09 WI Archery Opener

Hello Everyone,

Well Nick and I are about as ready as we can be. We wont be in the stand this weekend for a couple different reasons. The first and original reason was we both were to be working this weekend. And now I have managed to get sick so I am not able to work either. It started off a week ago as a head cold not to big of a deal. Yesterday and today thats not the case. This is the first time in a couple years I have been this sick. Im hoping to shake this thing so I can get in the stand… Continue

Less Than a Week.

Well everyone its just about here. I'm going down to my land to hang one more set today and put some final touches on some trimming. Season snuck up fast this year. Its been busy for me. Seems years past I was ready to go well before the season. This year was not the case. I added a couple food plots this season and planted the fall seed mix a week and a half ago. Nick and I have high hopes this year and are planning on putting a few deer on the ground. I have three bucks on my hit list as of ri… Continue
