Turkey Hunting 2010

Well to make a long story short I drew first season tag this year. Had a great day, called in 7 Toms in all yesterday. And actually I missed twice for the first time as well. I had another first yesterday also. I ended up shooting two Toms with one shot. I knew there were two Toms coming in but only saw one of them. The other was behind the bird I saw on a sloping hill. Darren, I just noticed you asked me a question about being a measurer. I measure for Wisconsin Buck & Bear Club, Minnesota Record book, North American Shed Hunters Club and have applied to P&Y and B&C. I am patiently waiting for an invite to join their clubs. Part of the problem is Wisconsin has the more measurers than any other state. I have been working hard on P&Y lately. They all work off the same measuring system, you just have to be invited to their specific class.

Thanks a lot darren. Really it means the world to me honestly, it was so fun I learned a lot hunting with you this year and you filming me. I hope we get to keep hunting and enjoying the outdoors together. I know we haven't had the chance to that much, but I hope this competition brings us teams all closer.

I see by your pics that you attended the Iowa Deer Classic. That show is great. I was down there helping with the measuring of the deer coming in to the show. We measured 326 heads and an amazing 11% qualified for B&C. Crazy.

I got week one, yes i used my benelli last year but i had week 2 and the rain messed it all up. we got on one tom but a un seen hen ran in from our right and took him out of range and then gone all together.
